Luke's two favorite places are: in the water, surfing or behind his drums.
No particular order as they both have a feeling of pure form and freedom.

Growing up in Los Angeles was fun, being exposed, first hand, to some of the
world's best drummers. He grew up next to his favorite drummer and close
friend, John Keane. Luke watched and studied John's feel of style for hours
on end. He then set up some double drums and played for hours and hours.
Luke wanted to match the 'feels' and the 'fills'. This is how Luke gained good
learning experience. He did all this while simultaneously playing with a couple
of bands. And getting strong encouragement to be recorded with friends of
Gary Grimm (The Eagles). Luke had only been playing for a year! He couldn't
pass on what he considered a "fun thing" when he got the call.

This particular exposure to recording with these guys gave Luke a taste for
Country music. Which he expanded by spending some time in Laughlin, NV
playing Country music with Billy Erickson and the Bandits. Now, Luke has
a deep appreciation for the Country sound.

Seeking more knowledge, Luke started taking lessons from world renown
percussionist, Joe Porcarp. The focus being on technique rudiments and the
value of simple feel-good groove. Seeing and hearing his favorite bands play
at local clubs was deeply inspiring to Luke. He enjoyed watching close friend,
John Keane and others such as Jeff Porcaro,

John Guerin, Jim Gordon, Jim Keitner. To Luke it was like "a student
priest to meet the Pope! The BEST!".
Twenty five years later and the man is
still in love with making music.

"Can't stop now! Having too much fun!"
He states while he grins and twirls a stick......
